Specific aim
IPSO’s CRESP aims to facilitate candidates’ access to cross-regional scientific or training events ––such as congresses, meetings, training seminars, etc.–– which are affiliated with the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA), including IPSO Regional events.
The support covers the following set of financial and logistical benefits:
- Reimbursement of airfare up to 1,000 USD
- Reimbursement of registration fee to the event up to 250 USD
- If requested, IPSO will endeavor to provide lodging in a candidate’s home through its members; host candidate members are encouraged but not required to provide this accommodation
- CRESP can be combined with other IPSO programs such as the Self-Financed Visiting Candidate Program, but not the Financial Incentive Visiting Candidate Program
Who can apply?
IPSO candidates in good standing and who wish to attend a scientific or training event in an IPA-IPSO Region different from their own.
Based on geographical location, intercontinental applications for a CRESP will be considered even if they are intraregional.
Requirements
- The candidate must have official acceptance of their active participation in the event they wish to attend, by presenting an individual paper, panel, workshop, supervision or any type of scientific activity planned during the event included in the official event program.
- The candidate must participate in the activities assigned by the regional committee of IPSO, in charge of the event organization, if applicable
- The candidate must make a final publishable report in the format specified in the application form, about his/her activities in the selected event within a period no longer than one month after the event, before the reimbursement of his/her expenses.
- The selected candidate is personally responsible for fulfilling the requirements of visa, medical coverage, and administrative requirements of the country or institute of destination, before final granting of the benefit.
- None of the candidate’s expenses will be reimbursed by IPSO if the candidate doesn’t attend the chosen event, without exception, and/or if the candidate does not produce the requested report (point iii).

Applications will be accepted if all of the required documents have been submitted (CV, letter of good-standing, CRESP Statement), on a first-come-first-served basis following these criteria:
